- various materials possible, e.g. thermoplastics, GFK (also with liner), stainless steel, steel with liner (rubber coating), special materials (alloy, enamel), etc.

Possible applications for jet scrubbers:
- direct cooling
- Pre-saturation (quench head may be necessary)
- physical absorption
- Chemisorption with fast reaction or in combination with reaction distance (absorption with reaction, Ha < 3)
- Dust separation up to 1μm
- Condensation (also with high inert gas content)
- Pre-separation with high solids loading
- Combination of cooling, absorption and dust separation (e.g. for aerosol separation)
